Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro First Impressions


It has good sound quality, IPX7 rating, microphone quality but with Samsung centric features and no software support for iPhones
There are wireless buds headlined by the Apple AirPods Pro for now. Samsung is well in the earbuds segment with its range of Galaxy Buds. The Buds Pro puts the Pro for a top-notch audio device. It gets active noise cancellation (ANC) and spatial audio at level with the Apple AirPods Pro.


The Buds Pro design brings features from Samsung’s TWS lineup where the buds design from the Buds Plus and the case from the Buds Live. The charging case is matte black.
The earbuds do not feature the winged tips get the low-profile silicone tips in three sizes. The earbuds fit with noise isolation.


The best way to use touch controls on the sensitive TWS earbuds is to switch the feature off. Many times user wrongly long pressed or short pressed the buds. There is an option to turn it completely off.


The Galaxy Buds Pro was rated IPX7 for water and sweat resistance. The buds are capable of mono audio for calling purposes. The Buds Pro feature has USB Type-C charging and wireless charging. It will run for 8 hours on the buds with ANC switched off and a total of 28 hours with the charging case. The stellar 11-hour battery life from the Galaxy Buds Plus with the primary reason to gets a 61mAh battery as opposed to the 85mAh unit on the Buds Plus.


Voice call quality is good with the microphone. It gets a three-microphone system to uses beamforming to isolate the voice. The Buds Pro has ticked most of the right boxes – enabling the Pro moniker.
