Netflix testing a sleep timer feature

Netflix is testing a new feature that sets a sleep timer for a movie or show. The app will stop playing video when the threshold comes to an end. The company is testing this feature globally, but it is not available for everyone. It will initially be available for Android smartphone users.

Netflix going to bring the same feature to other devices include TV sets and desktops. This might depend on how well the feature works for users. The sleep timer feature going to give the four-time settings for the video. These include 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes users are watching. The user has to select any four-time slots and the video stop after the selected time limit ends.

This is the option for those who fall asleep at night while watching Netflix and the video gets turned off when the episode stops. A lot of people will appreciate this timer. The timer feature saves battery life up to a certain extent.

Step 1: The sleep timer feature is to open any TV show or movie on the smartphone.


Step 2: Tap on the clock icon labeled as Timer. Find this option in the top right corner of the screen.

Step 3: Just select the time from 15, 30, 45 minutes, or Finish Show, and you are done.


Netflix’s timer feature will only be available for adult profiles and not for kids.
