PUBG Mobile India launch unlikely before March 2021


A PUBG Corporation official said that the launch of PUBG Mobile India will not happen before March next year, as it was banned earlier this year by the government. This comes from the responses of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) as the two separate RTI applications filed by the media. PUBG Corporation is waiting for the government to bring back the battle royale, which was banned earlier this year. Although, PUBG Corporation is still facing troubles in getting a go-ahead.

PUBG Corporation does not seem positive about the launch of PUBG Mobile India. This void left by PUBG Mobile was filled by the likes of Call of Duty Mobile and Garena Free Fire, ardent PUBG Mobile players come for the new version. They will have to make do with censored elements in the game. It will be raising the hopes of players for their beloved battle royale is coming soon. There are compromises as the game is at least arriving. The makers of PUBG Mobile India have been trying to get the government to change its serious decision. The government of India banned PUBG Mobile over cybersecurity concerns.

The government does not grant permission to any game or app to launch as the IT Ministry has the authority over the internet realm of India. PUBG Corporation got a new company called PUBG Mobile India registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs in Bengaluru. It is going to be difficult for PUBG Mobile to come back to the Indian gaming segment.
