Google Photos gets better on Android tablets

The new optimized interface with the top bar getting a search field. Its position depends on how wide the screen of the tablet is. Google is preparing its Phones application better on Android tablets. Previously, the company redesigned its Photos app with simpler navigation and a map view. Although the change was visible on smartphones and website and the tablet version didn’t get the change which was required for large screens. The app now takes better advantage of that large screen. If the tablet is mid-sized or small-sized, the search field will seem next to the profile image and Cast icon. On the bigger screens like Chromebooks, it will seem on the left with a prompt and upload button going to open the devices Files app.

The tablet version renames the search bar from ‘search’ to ‘explore’. The bottom bar is replaced by a navigation rail on the left edge. After the Photos and the Explore option, there is Sharing option which is no longer located at the top left corner. There are options like Library, On-device, Utilities, Archive, and Trash also available. It has been illustrated that the Google Photos app optimized for tablets bring with v5.25 and going to available to all the users across the world. There is no message when these modifications will be appearing in the iOS app.
