Samsung starts One UI 3.1 with Android 11 for Galaxy Tab S7


This update brings the ‘Second Screen’ functionality and January Security Patch. Samsung brings the Android 11 update for the Galaxy Tab S7 series. It teased during the launch of the Galaxy Tab S7. It’s available for the LTE versions of Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+, and Galaxy Tab S7 5G. The Android 11 update with One UI 3.0 but it’s directly moved to One UI 3.1 for the tablets which is the same version that the Galaxy S21 series launched with.


The software update has the latest January 2021 Android Security Patch Level. Some of the outstanding features include a refreshed UI, improved stock apps, performance, memory allocation, private share, new lock screen widgets, and video background for calls. One UI 3.1 users remove the GPS location date from images. It includes chat bubbles, an updated notification panel, and more.


Galaxy Tab S7 users use the tablet as a second screen for a Windows PC. The tablet will mirror the laptop or PC’s screen through a wired or Wi-Fi Direct connection.


Samsung hasn’t disclosed when One UI 3.1 will brings global variants of the Galaxy Tab S7 series but it should be available soon.
